We went to San bernardino at 5 because Rully said he was performing at 6 pm (and I later found out he didnt tell anyone else!) But he was awesome, see for yourself:

After we saw Rully, we hung out since there were sooooo many kinds of Indonesian food. Yuum Yum…. I had Mpek Mpek, Nasi Padang, Risoles, Tahu isi, Siomay and Martabak Manis (this was the best). They also had Es Mambo (brings back so many childhood memories)!!! At 8-ish the people we know started arriving (even Bang iwing dropped by, but for the food not for Slank ) It felt really cool being surrounded to tons and tons of Indonesian, it kinda feels as if I were home… Slank was supposed to perform last and Srimulat (OMG , they were hilarious) was performing before Slank.

Friday nite, Rully called and asked us if we wanted to hang out with Slank while they were practicing for their upcoming concert in San Bernardino. he said their practice would start at 8 pm and they would want to go to a bar afterwards. Since it had been a long day for me, we decided that we wouold just meet them after their practice. We had set the place to be Geisha House and so we left at 11. When we got there, Roland and his friends were already there and on minute after we paid the $15 parking fee, Rully called and said there had been a change of plans. Slank now wanted to either go to Viper Room or Roxy, but they hadn’t decided. So we thought because we had already paid for parking, we might as well just chill , have a few drinks and wait until they decided. While waiting we got hungry so we sat at a table and ordered some sushi. After calling back and forth with Rully for a few times he said they have decided on Viper Room. But by the time we finished eating it was already 1 am, and Viper Room closes at 2 am. Besides we were full and quite tired at that time. So, we called it a nite and decided to just meet them at the concert the next day.

“Slank is coming to LA!” That’s what someone told me weeks ago, but I didn’t know exactly when just until a couple of days before. There were rumors that the show would start at 7 pm @ BB King Club at Universal City Walk and so Baby and I got there at aproximately 7:30 pm. It turned out that the doors weren’t even open, but we saw Sammy waiting outside. Sammy said he had been there since 7 pm. We decided to go grab something to eat first.

It turned out that there were a lot (and i mean A LOT) of bands before Slank who were performing and ecah of them had some sort of technical difficulties, thus, more and more delay… Hung out with the Justinians, Jerry, Edwin and Yolana while waiting.

By midnight we were debating whether to woait or just go home. Luckily, we then got introduced to the band, and we felt so sorry for them (they looked really tired since they just got there) and they were also just waiting to perform. One thing I can say about them, they are really cool and down to earth. here are more pics while waiting… (and one is actually with them =) )

Finallyyyyy after a very long wait, they performed at 1:15 am, and one word: AWESOME! It was worth the wait, definitely. Now, I definitely have to go to see them oagain at San Bernardino this coming Saturday

We did nothing but hung out and party during this long labor day weekend. I got too fucked up last nite (ok so I had a little too much to drink ) I woke up this morning (more like afternoon) with swollen eyes, bruises on my arms and legs ( I distinctly remember that I fell, bumped into things, fell again, and so on, LOL) , and the room wouldn’t stop spinning. So here is what we did:

Friday:

Went to lunch at CPK with baby, I missed him since our schedule conflicts with each other and I haven’t been spending a lot of time with him lately. Lighted up some hookah while waiting for Dave and Jerry who told us they might stop by. They couldn’t make it and said they would stop by the next day.

Saturday:

Went to Camarillo with baby (I knowwww, agaiiiin….), and we went home around 9-ish. We haven’t gone clubbing for a while so we decided to go to hollywood and then decide later where to go after grabbing a quick dinner. Originally, Rully, Dave and Jerry were going to meet up with us but we didn’t hear back until midnight so we decided to walk over to King King since it was pretty close to where we ate.

We bumped into Sandy, Roland and Rara at King King and they decided to drop by our house. So we went home at about 3 am, and the party didn’t stop there , more drinking to come, lol. at 6:30 am we were all happy and ready to go to bed

Sunday:

Woke up with a hangover at about 1 pm and geez, when I went out these other guys have already started drinking again!! lol Roland was bbq ing some meat (yum, steak with wine) I wasn’t feeling too well that afternoon so mostly I took a nap while the others were karaoke-ing in out living room( Damn, Roland can sing!!!) This is one of the examples of the craziness, lol

Darius and his friend came at 5-is. Baby had to ‘rest’ around 6-ish so I went out to entertain all the guests David came at about 6 and he brought some yummy vodka (yaaayy)

Jerry showed up with some sprite and lemonade to mix the vodka with and from that point on everything was pretty much a blur. One thing I remembered was that Jerry also had to ‘rest’ because of an incident, LOL.

Some people said I was giving Dave a hard time (but you know I didn’t mean to , Dave, right?, hehehe) Good thing baby finally woke up and took care of me during my night of madness =) I’m glad everyone looked like they were having fun (too much fun I think )

First week of school… First week of new job.. Left at 7 everyday, got home at 6.. Still have to leave time to do school assignments (which is a lot, trust me and I have done none of them… yep none, NADA…) By the end of this week (today) I was so worn out that after I got back from the mall (yeah went to the mall after work today to spend time w/ baby ) , I fell asleep in 5 minutes after laying on the bed. Ugh I hate falling asleep in the late afternoon. And now I’m still tired but wide awake, hence writing the blog.. Stoopid nap…

I just got my eyes examined to see how bad my vision has gotten since it’s been a couple of years since last time I went and also my glasses are really in a bad shape and I need new ones (yeah, Pebbles had been chewing on my current ones, good thing I mainly wear contacts)

And so I can’t decide whether to get the thick plastic ones or the regular metal ones. I really wanted to get the plastic ones, but I swear I look too much like a librarian!!! So anyways I got these flashy (and I mean FLASHY) chanel ones with some stones on the side. Usually they will be done in one hour but since the lenses for those particular frames weren’t available, they told me that it would take one week. So I thought, ‘fine, whatever..’

However, I couldn’t stop thinking if there is a pair of plastic ones that would look pretty decent on me, so when I went to another Lens Crafter the next day, I tried some on. A pair of plastic Chanel stood out because of their unusual shape (they kinda slanted upwards like cateyes) , and OMG they looked great! I told them I had already ordered a pair and would like to exchange but she said I had to wait until I get them to exchange. Or I could just buy these too and return the ones I ordered later for a full refund. I opted for the latter.

So I waited an hour, picked them up and went home. I was trying them on again (I only tried them on briefly at the store because I was in hurry) and suddenly I realized, What The Fuck??? The shape was different (the slanted cateyes shape were now straight) I figured, they prolly weren’t supposed to be like that in the first place and that slanted shape was just because they were crooked!!! So when they did my order, they fixed them, so now they were in the shape the were supposed to be!! AARRGHH… They still looked OK but they were a lot better when they ‘defective’ So now I can’t decide whether to keep them or just the flashy ones that I ordered before. Hmmmmm, I wonder if the store can bend them so that they are in that cateyes shape again for me? Maybe I’ll give it a try…

Baby decided to add some stuff to our garden (look at that pretty pond , and yes believe it or not he did it by himself) The pathway he also did by himself and i decided to buy more flowers and actually trying to take care of them (moi? gardening? hehehe) But no, seriously, I am trying, u know…. (and yes,that’s me in the rose bushes) But hey look at this rose, it’s so beautiful, don’t u think it’s worth it??

Yaaaayy the hookah we ordered has finally arrived. Our very own hookah!! Now we can get some hookah party going, wooohoooo!!!

So…. we just got back from taking mom to the airport. It feels so quiet at home.. A little too quiet… I opened the door, went inside the guest bedroom (the room I shared w/ mom), and sat right in front of my laptop which has always been on top of the bed that I had been sleeping on when my mom was here. It feels sad sitting by myself here, but somehow it feels so peaceful. Why is it everytime mom goes back I feel like something is missing? I mean, I’m not a little girl anymore, but I always feel really sad whenever she goes back. Is it just because I’m really really close to her? She is my best friend afterall..  Or have I just gotten used to her being around me all the time? Or maybe, I am still just a spoiled little brat deep down inside? Hmmmmmm…….

Ugh I better start organizing all my shit, after all, school will start again in a few days.. Or, maybe I’ll wait until Tuesday and sleep in for a few days

PS: Baby has done a really really good job cheering me up, he made me feel a lot better. We sat for a while in front of our new pond (i’ll take pics tomorrow) just chatting and spending some quiet time together =) Thank you, LOVE.
